Daily life

About a quarter of Mongolians still live as nomadic herders in gers (yurts), moving with the seasons. In Ulaanbaatar, traditional deel coats mix with K-pop fashion. Horses outnumber people in much of the country.

Family values

Extended families are tight; respect for elders and the land is foundational. The youngest son traditionally inherits the family ger.
